Friday at House of Tea we will have world renowned Jaimes and Chirsta in house!! If there’s one couple you don’t want to miss, it’s this One! It’s only $5 including demonstration by Jaimes and Christa and your favorite, local, vegetarian carnivore, house of tea DJ, Sabra!

One thing happens when two people come together to understand and contribute as equals no matter what their particular skill is. Tango, at it’s best, reveals something new, just like every moment does when it’s realised. To do without knowing yourself first, or to recognize another person as more or less than yourself will create the ultimate boundary to a real tango dance! In life, it’s not as easy, but sometimes in a dance, it works for a moment or more. That feeling of harmony is where the attention goes when all ideas of right and wrong dissapear, and two people experience the moment as One.
Mike McCarrel in Houston Through July
Internationaly recognized DJ, Mike McCarrel, will play for us Fridays at the House of Tea through the month of July! Having worked his way up as a local dancer, starting Portland State University’s Tango Club, other local milongas and practicas, as well as teaching and performing in various venues in his home town of Portland, Oregon, Mike is now one of the most respected dancers and Dj’s of Tango Classics in the U.S. He is regularly invited to DJ at many of the most popular festivals in the country including the top venues in New York, San Francisco, and Seattle. As a dancer, he is sought after for his unique style and grace and his deep musical expression.
